Two rows deserve reading together. Yoshino and colleagues found a functional improvement at 250 mg over ten weeks in a group selected for prediabetes. Yi and colleagues found blood NAD+ rising with dose to 900 mg over 60 days, alongside modest changes in walking distance and a fatigue score.

How Product Labels Compare

Trimethylglycine is sold as a companion on the theory that NAD+ metabolism consumes methyl groups and could deplete them over time. It is a coherent mechanism with no human evidence attached.

Anyone genuinely concerned about methylation status has a better option available: homocysteine is a routine blood test with established reference ranges, and it responds to methyl group availability. Who Should Not Take a Higher Dose

Three groups should stay at the low end or ask a clinician before starting.
